October Monthly Meeting

Bike to the Future meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 5:30. Anyone is welcome to attend.

We're now usually meeting at the new Sport for Life Centre (Sport Manitoba's new home). Bikes can be parked inside the building in a locked room that is beside the main doors and in direct view of the security desk.

We'll spend the first few minutes finalizing the agenda and allotting time to each item. Here are some tentative agenda items for the October Monthly Meeting:

  • Naming bike routes and paths (Gareth Simons)
  • BttF business cards -- for promo and general contact (Ted Mann)
  • $20+ million stimulus funding for bicycling infrastructure -- update, media, our Fri Oct 1st meeting and subsequent action, Harrow/Academy barier (Anders Swanson, Gareth Simons, Curt Hull, Mark Cohoe)
  • Our 2010 AGM on Tue Nov 9th (Kevin Miller)
  • Our priorities for 2011 (Kevin Miller)
  • Do we continue to meet at the Sport for Life Centre? (Kevin Miller)
  • Mobile BttF display (for outreach and promotion of BttF) -- update (Rob Cosco)
  • Push Pedal Stride Art Show (Don English)
  • Bike Shorts Film Festival -- post event report (Don English)
  • BttF website -- update (Kevin Miller)
  • Grant Writer -- update (Mark Wiehler)
  • Bicycle Valet Winnipeg -- update (David Wieser)
  • Financial report (Liz Erickson)
  • City Committee report -- October 2010 Civic Election (Mark Cohoe)
  • Provincial Committee report (Charles Feaver)
  • Safety & Education Committee report (Dave Elmore)
